FOREMAST makes waves at Port Decarbonisation Workshop

We are pleased to share that Ghazaleh Kia from SEAFAR represented FOREMAST at the First Port Decarbonisation and Environmental Sustainability Workshop held on 17 September 2024 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. This important event was organized by the Belfast Harbour Commission on behalf of the European Space Agency (ESA) and the United Kingdom Space Agency (UKSA).

The workshop focused on the growing need for decarbonisation in the port sector and how space data can play a critical role in supporting the transition to greener, more sustainable practices. It brought together key industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to explore solutions aligning with the global environmental sustainability push.

Ghazaleh highlighted the innovations of FOREMAST during a networking session, where she presented our achievements, distributed our brochure, and featured a 360° video of the SEAFAR Remote Operation Center.

As part of the event, Ghazaleh also delivered a presentation detailing FOREMAST’s solutions with a focus on our zero-emission, small vessel technology and later participated in a panel discussion to address the key challenges faced in developing sustainable transport solutions within the maritime sector.

This event marked a significant step in advancing green shipping, highlighting the role that FOREMAST and its partners play in pushing the boundaries of innovation to ensure a cleaner, more sustainable future for ports and inland waterways.
