FOREMAST will participate in the new DEWATRA Conference 2026, the 1st International Conference on Decarbonising Waterborne Transportation taking place on 25–26 May in Lisbon, Portugal.
The conference paper, titled “A Multi-Scale Simulation Framework for Zero-Emission IWT Planning”, was written by FOREMAST partners J. Lopez (ITA), D. Cipres (ITA), P. Bernat (VLTN), C. Latinopoulos (VLTN), M. Andurand (CIRCOE), A. Antonopoulos (KNT), and T. Tsaousis (INLE and accepted following the submission of an abstract. The paper will showcase innovative modelling and simulation approaches supporting the transition towards zero-emission inland waterway transport systems.
The paper will presented José Luis López Ramón from ITA during the conference.
DEWATRA is an international event dedicated to innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation in the fields of water transport and water management. The conference brings together researchers, industry stakeholders, and policymakers to exchange knowledge and discuss solutions supporting greener and smarter waterborne transport systems
FOREMAST’s participation in DEWATRA 2026 highlights the project’s continued contribution to advancing innovative tools and methodologies for the decarbonisation and optimisation of inland waterway transport across Europe.
