FOREMAST is delighted to announce its participation in the upcoming Transport Research Arena (TRA) 2026, the largest transport research and innovation conference in Europe. The event is scheduled to take place from 18 to 21 May 2026 in Budapest, Hungary, with the conference theme -“Re‑Generation in Transport”- emboding not only continuous advancements in technology and engineering but also firm belief in the increasingly significant contributions of the next generation of researchers.

As part of the Waterborne Platform stand, FOREMAST will showcase its vision for smart and sustainable inland waterway mobility in the presence of other EU funded initatiatives, including sister project AUTOFLEX. This prominent positioning offers an excellent opportunity to engage with a diverse audience -including researchers, industry professionals, policymakers, and project stakeholders- and to highlight how our project contributes to the regeneration of Europe’s transport systems.

TRA 2026 will cover key thematic areas such as green mobility and decarbonisation, transport digitalisation, user-centred mobility, and planning and operation—all central to FOREMAST’s mission and objectives.
